Letter from the President of The DeKalb County Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc

I am both honored and privileged to represent you as president for the DeKalb County Federation of Garden Clubs for the term 2011-2013.  I am aware that I follow in the footsteps of some very great, courageous and determined ladies who organized the Federation in 1948.

Their dreams and aspirations for this organization were to unite county clubs and to obtain growth through unification, education and preservation.  I pledge not only to continue those dreams and aspirations but to help grow the Federation and to support The Garden Club of Georgia, Inc., Redbud District, Deep South Region and the National Garden Clubs, Inc.  Therefore, in their honor, I have chosen as my theme, “Growth through Unity.”

The Officers and Committee Chairman have pledged their support. Therefore, I  pledge to them that I will do everything I can to work with them in ways that will hold up the all the work begun on behalf of the Federation and to support them in their positions of leadership.

I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you personally and to make you proud and happy to be at each and every meeting. Together we will grow through unity and have a great time doing so.

Wanda Moore, President
The DeKalb County Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc.
